Over the decades, this tradition has shaped a scholarly community committed to careful inquiry, intellectual rigor, and the development of research that contributes to the advancement of management knowledge and practice.
Beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year, the program will introduce an updated doctoral curriculum designed to strengthen the research formation of our doctoral students. The revised structure places greater emphasis on the early development of research ideas, sustained engagement with scholarly debates, and closer integration between coursework and dissertation work.
Students may pursue the program through two broad trajectories. The academic path is intended for those preparing for careers in research and higher education, with strong emphasis on theory development, scholarly publication, and participation in the international academic community. The professional path is designed for experienced professionals who seek to address complex managerial and organizational challenges through rigorous research while remaining closely connected to practice.
The program also offers two dissertation formats. Candidates may complete their dissertation as a monograph, presenting a single, comprehensive study, or through an article-based dissertation, consisting of a coherent set of publishable scholarly articles. Both routes are designed to support different research strategies while maintaining the same standards of scholarly rigor.
Our faculty members work closely with doctoral students through seminars, supervision, and collaborative research. Together we seek to sustain a scholarly environment where ideas are examined carefully, research is conducted with integrity, and new knowledge can emerge.
We welcome scholars and professionals who wish to contribute to the continued development of management research in Indonesia and beyond.
